Thanks for stopping by to read about me.  I am a former newspaper reporter and police detective. Today, I write about anything that happens to pop into my head - it's less stressful than being a newspaper reporter and not as dangerous as being a detective! I consider myself a humorist, and try to use humor in my writing whenever appropriate.

After home-schooling my grandson for a few years, I decided teenagers could use some help with their school quizzes, so I am creating hundreds of multiple-choice quizzes on different topics that are usually covered in grades 8-12. I don't guarantee that the questions and answers that I provide are the ones on any of your upcoming tests, but hope you'll find the quizzes helpful, interesting and fun.

I also have begun writing hubs on Bill O'Reilly's Word of the Day ("The O'Reilly Factor" on Fox News Channel).

I love writing, and hope that you will always come away from my articles with a smile on your face (although I do write also about serial killers and bad guys, so you might not always come away with a smile).
